Spark Suppression: A wire rack must be placed over the top of the fire pit to suppress sparks and prevent them from flying around. This helps to minimize the risk of accidental fires. Supervision: Never leave the campfire unattended. A responsible adult must be present at all times while the fire is burning. Extinguishing: At the end of the night, the fire must be fully extinguished using water. Pour water over the flames and embers until they are completely out, and the ashes are cool to the touch.
